Armed with a set of 50 solar lanterns, Geeta is lighting the way not just for her family, but also her fellow villagers. She is among 72 rural women entrepreneurs who manage solar charging stations in poorly electrified villages of Uttar Pradesh. This is a CSR initiative by Indus Tower under the Lighting a Billion Lives campaign (LaBL). LaBL is a global campaign led by TERI that creates entrepreneurs from underprivileged communities, who provide solar energy to un-electrified or poorly electrified areas.
