Knowledge x-change on Sustainable Development (KxSD)

Knowledge x-change on Sustainable Development (KxSD) is an initiative by The Energy

and Resources Institute (TERI) supported by UK Government with objectives to facilitate knowledge sharing across the many facets of sustainable development; showcase new research and innovative practices, share knowledge and success stories from diverse regions and sectors, targeted at policy makers and the wider research community; focus on three main dimensions of sustainable development -- policy imperatives, technology & innovations, and community partnership -- along with their interlinked components in the identified themes and sub-themes. It comprises different sector like - Climate change, Poverty & livelihoods, Energy, Health, Sustainable infrastructure, Natural resources, Waste management.

India Council for Sustainable Development

It seeks to further fortify cooperation and exchange between India and the international community in the field of environment and development, with assessing the challenge of integrating environmental issues with development strategies, in order to establish a pattern of sustainable development in India and formulating strategies and directions, which would be provided as recommendations and advise to various levels and agencies of the Government of India, and disseminating and publishing information on issues linking the environment and development in India and practices to promote sustainable development.

India Green Building Information Council

Energy and Environmental Information Council, created by the International Initiatives for a Sustainable Built Environment, deals with issues in the building sector to advance the energy and environmental performance of buildings through the creation, exchange and application of appropriate and timely information. The site contains process, tools nd methods, policies, publications, events and news on the sector.

Centre for excellence for Sustainable Development

The web site hosts success stories on land use, transportation, energy resource efficiency, disaster planning, rural issues, financing and business aspects of sustainable development. It provides information on sustainable development projects and links with related internet sites and discussion groups. The web site maintains a sustainable development resources database, toolkit and also covers news updates and events information.

International Institute for Sustainable Development

The mission of the IISD (International Institute for Sustainable Development) is to promote sustainable development in decision-making internationally. IISD web site describes sustainable development concepts and principles, cooperation among universities and institutions, government policy, archives, full text journals and newsletters. The information center on the site includes sectroral work and regional work.

Sustainable Agriculture Network

SAN (Sustainable Agriculture Network) is dedicated to the exchange of scientific and practical information on sustainable agriculture systems using a variety of printed and electronic communications tools. The site contains publications, news and events, and a searchable database of more than 1,000 research projects.

World Business Council for Sustainable Development

WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) is a coalition of 125 international companies from 30 countries and more than 20 major industrial sectors united by a shared commitment to the environment and to the principles of economic growth and sustainable development. The site provides WBCSD focus areas, WBCSD reports, books, information about trade and environment, climate and energy, sustainability in the market, natural resources, eco-efficiency and links with regional networks.
